What brought you to CampusLIVE?

I was approached as a senior at Emerson College to be an intern. When I walked into the office the first day, music was blaring, everyone was having a great time and working insanely hard. It was love at first site, errr sight.

Do you have any favorite stories from your work life?

When I joined CampusLIVE, I was the only girl in the office. I felt like I was working in a frat house with my 15 brothers. The first day I walked in, our COO Ryan was shirtless and Jesse was freshening him up by shaving the back of his neck. They proceeded to throw on Kid Cudi and fly electric helicopters indoors. I realized this would not be a standard work environment, and I've loved it ever since.

What does the typical day look like for you?

I come into the office with guns blazing, proceed to over caffeinate myself, zip through client emails, and then coordinate everything needed to launch a partnered Challenge. I work directly with our sales, design, and development teams to make sure we are producing Challenges that make our clients and users happy. Then I launch that Puppy!

Why do you come to work in the morning?

Because I absolutely love what I do and the people I work with. I actually get antsy on Sundays because I want to come in already.

What lessons has your work life taught you?

Write everything down, stay organized, speak up, and learn how to communicate with different types of people. The way I speak with a client is not the same way I communicate with a developer, or respond to a sales person, or collaborate with a designer. Communication must be fluid and malleable, efficient and clear.

What advice would you give someone who is interested in pursuing a similar line of work?

Talk to everyone. Meet people in your field, ask questions, and shake hands. In a position where you are encountering tons of different people, make every daily human interaction a lesson. Whether it is meeting someone's grandma, handling a drunk guy at a bar, or networking with a Boston bigwig, there is a something to learn from each exchange.

What is the best part of working at CampusLIVE?

Everyday I get to see things I've worked on, come to fruition. It is gratifying. It is also great to work with such a great team of people. We work hard and play harder, and I love that when I leave the bar from a post-work happy hour and think "oAh man, I don't want to leave you guys." I quickly realize that I will be seeing them all tomorrow morning for another killer day.

What's the coolest thing you've accomplished thus far working at CampusLIVE?

I am proud to say that I am 23 and have launched marketing campaigns for globally recognized brands such as McDonalds, Bud Light, Dunkin Donuts, and Microsoft.
